What's New on the 2023 Toyota Highlander?
Drivers will now find that there is a new engine onboard. The V6 is out, and it has been replaced with a turbocharged four-cylinder option this year. It still provides ample power and capability. You are also going to find a new larger touch display and digital gauge cluster on select models like the Limited and Platinum trims. These trims also will feature new power-folding exterior mirrors, while other options like the XLE and XSE get a hands-free power liftgate.

Performance
Now equipped with a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Highlander gets 265 horsepower while having similar fuel economy and towing numbers should you need it. That added efficiency goes a long way for many, especially those who are in need of a larger SUV that can transport people and cargo around our area with a reliable engine under the hood.
Interior and Cargo Space
The new Toyota Highlander is able to provide three rows of seating, for up to eight total. You can choose between a second-row bench or captain's chairs on higher trims. The latter brings the seating down to seven, but there is a cargo capacity of up to 84.3 cubic feet when you fold down the rear seats, and that allows you to get your passengers, cargo, or both onboard in comfort and different configurations.
Technology and Safety
You'll be connected onboard with the choice of an eight- or 12.3-inch touch display and connectivity with the likes of Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlayĀ®, and Android Autoā¢. There is also the choice of an 11-speaker JBL sound system, along with Wi-Fi integration options.
As for your safety, you're going to find features standard such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, and lane-departure and lane-keeping assist.
