Last Tuesday, June 15, 2021, Toyota unveiled a heavily cropped video of the all-new 2022 Tundra's iForce Max engine cover. This somewhat cryptic image was actually the first in a series of eight planned releases intended to spark curiosity and excitement for the full-size truck's long-awaited third generation. And here at Ourisman Chantilly Toyota, it certainly piqued our interest.
The second image, shown in the tweet above, was a full exterior shot the 2022 Tundra, revealing a ruggedly bold design highlighted by an enormous black grill, muscular sculpting, and dynamic headlight clusters. We dig the truck's futuristic aesthetic, which evokes power, capability, and refinement. It's definitely a fitting look for a next-gen pickup.
Today, 6/22/2021, Toyota released the third teaser, another cropped image, this time from inside the cabin looking out the windshield:
Whatever you're thinking... think bigger. The next generation Tundra is all-new for 2022. Coming soon: https://t.co/yMPljLIjEP #Tundra #LetsGoPlaces pic.twitter.com/6AAkqbPeQk

The red stripe on the steering wheel indicates a TRD Pro model, but the main feature is certainly the large touchscreen, which appears horizontally oriented but could very well be much larger if it's portrait-mounted. The rearview mirror is clouded and appears to have buttons, which could mean it’s a digital camera version, which would provide a much clearer and wider picture of what's behind the truck than a standard glass mirror.
That's all the information we have for now, but we encourage you to follow @Toyota for future updates. We expect the next update to come out this Friday.
2022 Toyota Tundra is coming soon to Ourisman Chantilly Toyota near Arlington VA and Washington DC
